By booking a treatment, purchasing a gift voucher, or using our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms are designed to ensure that every guest experiences the unhurried care, peace, and restorative atmosphere that SELAH HOUSE promises.

References to “SELAH HOUSE”, “we”, “our”, or “us” refer to Selah House Limited (1/439 Mount Albert Road, Mount Roskill, Auckland 1041, New Zealand).

1. Reservations & Bookings

‍

  • Advance Booking: To preserve the intimate and serene environment of SELAH HOUSE, all treatments must be reserved in advance via our online booking platform or through our concierge team.
  • Deposits: A deposit or full payment may be required at the time of booking to hold your requested time slot.
  • Confirmation: Your reservation is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email or SMS from SELAH HOUSE. Please review your booking details carefully upon receipt.

2. Arrival & The Sanctuary Experience

‍

  • Punctuality: We invite you to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This allows you to transition into the space, complete your intake details, and begin your ritual without feeling rushed.
  • Late Arrivals: If you arrive late, we will do our best to accommodate your full treatment. However, to respect the reservations of guests following you, your ritual time may be shortened while remaining at the full scheduled price.
  • Atmosphere of Rest: To ensure a quiet and restorative environment for all guests, we kindly request that mobile phones and electronic devices be switched to silent or turned off upon entry.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

‍

Because our rituals require dedicated room preparation and therapist time, we require notice to adjust or cancel a reservation:

‍

  • Notice Period: We require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule your reservation without penalty.
  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations or requests to reschedule made within 48 hours of your appointment will forfeit your deposit or be charged 50% of the scheduled service cost.
  • No-Shows: If you do not arrive for your appointment without prior notice, the full value of the scheduled ritual will be charged or forfeited from your deposit/gift voucher.
  • Exceptions: We understand that unforeseen emergencies happen. Please contact our team directly at hello@selahhouse.co.nz as soon as possible if you face exceptional circumstances.

4. Health, Safety & Intake Disclosures

‍

  • Pre-Treatment Consultation: For your safety and comfort, all guests must complete a Health Intake Form prior to their ritual.
  • Medical Conditions: Please inform us at the time of booking if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, skin allergies, heart conditions, mobility limitations, or recent medical procedures.
  • Contraindications: Certain hammam rituals involve steam, heat, and physical exfoliation. SELAH HOUSE reserves the right to adjust, modify, or decline a treatment if we assess that it may pose a risk to your health or well-being.
  • Sobriety: For safety reasons, treatments will not be performed on individuals under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Bookings canceled due to intoxication will be charged in full.

5. Gift Vouchers & Credit

‍

  • Redemption: Gift vouchers issued by SELAH HOUSE are redeemable for treatments or retail products as specified on the voucher.
  • Validity: Gift vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of issue unless explicitly stated otherwise during a special promotional offer.
  • Non-Refundable: Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash, refunded, or used to purchase additional gift vouchers.
  • Lost or Stolen Vouchers: SELAH HOUSE is not responsible for lost, stolen, or unauthorized use of vouchers. Please treat your voucher code like cash.

6. Pricing & Payments

‍

  • Currency: All prices listed on our website and menus are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and excluding Goods and Services Tax (GST).
  • Price Changes: SELAH HOUSE reserves the right to adjust treatment prices, packages, or operating hours at any time. Bookings already confirmed prior to a price change will be honored at the original price.
  • Payment Methods: We accept major credit/debit cards, contactless payments, and SELAH HOUSE gift vouchers.

7. Valuables & Personal Belongings

‍

We provide secure storage options for your belongings during your visit. However, SELAH HOUSE accepts no responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage of personal items, jewelry, or electronics brought onto the premises. We recommend leaving valuable items at home.

8. Intellectual Property

‍

All content on this website—including logos, photography, ritual names (The Oasis Ritual, The Selah Ritual, The Royal Ritual), copy, and brand design—is the property of Selah House Limited and protected under New Zealand and international copyright laws. Unauthorized reproduction or commercial use is strictly prohibited.

9. Consumer Guarantees & Liability

‍

  • Consumer Rights: Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, SELAH HOUSE shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, injury, or damage arising from your visit or use of our services, save where directly caused by our gross negligence.
